Modified Best Shot & Best Alternating Score. These two I think are good doubles formats. Gonna try them both. Thanks! I agree with you John K. the combined score will separate the teams quickly. I have run some SNDG Doubles Tournaments with the 666 in this order (Alternate Shot, Worst Shot (6 easy holes), Combined Score). I like to do this on the 1st round. It immediately separatesby Teeple - General Discussion
I like that idea cgkdisc. Gonna try that doubles format out soonby Teeple - General Discussion
To me 'Best Score' is the worst format for doubles. If your partner sucks it up, your score is the only one that counts. Combined Score - if your partner sucks, you have to count it with your good score. If you are both good, and both record birdies, you might make a 'Leap' forward in the competition if they only par-out.by Teeple - General Discussion
DOUBLES FORMATS Best Shot Best Shot is by far the most popular doubles format. Both players throw from each lie (starting with the tee shot), and then the team chooses which of the resulting lies to continue play from, until the hole is completed. *A team may take a reasonable amount of time to pick which lie they want before the 30-second play clock starts. *A lie that is picked up withouby Teeple - General Discussion

Joey, Glad you enjoyed it! In years past, we did notice that players didn't get to enjoy the Elvis Presley Festival. Last year we changed it to this style of tourney, and had many-many positive comments about it. Getting rested, early shower, and having a good time with family / friends after a tough round is well worth it. We saw some amazing "come from behind" scores on Sundaby Teeple - General Discussion

JUDGES brought about two (or more) excellent accomplishments while preparing for the SNDC: (1) They got the City of Jackson to agree on the permanent Butts DGC. (Excellent). (2) They poured many new concrete tee-pads at Crystal Springs. (Excellent). This takes planning, analysis, collaboration, negotiation, hard work, and diligence. I commend JUDGES for a great SNDC tournament, and theiby Teeple - General Discussion
I enjoyed the SNDC. No doubt, the Tournament Director's did a great job. T-shirt sizes & Disc Selection was the best I have ever seen at a tournament. Teebird+, Destroyer, Aviar, Starfire, Crystal Buzzz, Roc, and 6 more I think. What truly separates out a Doubles Team is the "Combined Score". Everyone had to play this format to determine the winners, and Winning Teams they weby Teeple - General Discussion

Can someone please give me Latitude/Longitude Map Locations for the (3) Disc Golf Courses? I would like to plug them in. I've never played these courses. Thanks!by Teeple - General Discussion
I wanted to get the complete data (distance, weight, type, make) for all (3) of the disc's thrown. But I soon realized that that would take too much time. The contestants who threw in the morning (7am to 9am) didn't get the distance they desired. Most likely due to the morning dew, and/or early humidity. The afternoon contestants had a 5-10mph slight tailwind, and it was definitely hot.by Teeple - General Discussion

Matthew, I believe I have a putter of yours in my truck. Just remind me when you see me at the registration table.by Teeple - General Discussion
Cody, it would be nice if you had at least 4 discs with you during the putting challenge. That way you could pick your spot(s). Say a 20 footer (20 points) and make 80 points with 4 repeated throws. Yet, some point strategy must be in play. Don't miss. Tally points as you go. Make sure you maximize skill & accuracy w/ overall accumulated points.by Teeple - General Discussion
