Pre-registration: Pre-registration is encouraged. Send Check or Money Order made out to the Memphis Disc Golf Club to Gary Wagoner at above address. Even if you are pre-registered, you must check in with the TD to confirm your attendance and fill out your card. Please print legibly and include the following information with your registration:

• Your Name
• Your Division
• What meals you intend to eat at the Piersol Group Camp Dining Hall
• Whether or not you intend to stay at the Piersol Group Camp bunkhouse

Registration:
Friday August 20 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Pearsol Group Camp Dining Hall. Saturday August 21 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at the course pavilion at Meeman Shelby Forest. Registration will close at exactly the time stated above. Please register with cash. If you have not registered with the TD, Gary Wagoner, by 8:45 a.m. you will not play.


ACCOMMODATIONS

Lodging: The Club has reserved the Piersol Group Camp which is located behind the Visitors Center at the park. The camp is divided into 8 bunk cabins with showers and toilets. They are not air conditioned, but have big wall fans. You may want to bring a personal fan. The cost will be $11/night. We are also renting the air conditioned Dining Hall for awards presentations and meals. If the heat is too much, you can put a mattress in there and sleep on the floor.

Other area accommodations are:

Best Western (901)873-2222 has some rooms left. Will give discounted rate of $62.00 per night plus tax if they ref. Disc Golf Tournament and tell them what the discounted rate is when making reservations.

Magnolia Inn (901)873-4400 has 14 rooms available. Rate is $45.00 per night plus tax.

Millington Days Inn (901)872-3335 has good availability. Room rates are $69.00 for a single, and $79.00 for a double plus tax. If more than 2 adults per room, there will be a $5 charge for each additional adult.

All of these hotels are on Hwy 51 in Millington.

The Shelby Forest Cabins are already reserved. They have 44 Tent/RV spots that are first come first serve. There are also some reserved spots that may be available. All of these spots have electricity and water. Phone number is 901-876-5215

Meals: Depending upon the demand, we may be cooking Breakfast Saturday and Sunday at the Pierson Group Camp Dining Hall. We will definitely be cooking supper there Friday and Saturday nights. The requested “Donation” is $5. We will also be cooking lunch there Saturday and Sunday.

Park Access Fee: The park will be enforcing an access fee of $3/car per day. However, they have given us a special deal for $1.50/car per day. You can pay for and pick up the car mirror tags when you register or check in with the TD. If you are staying the Group Camp, this will be covered in your fee.


TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

Player’s Meeting: The Player’s meeting will begin at the course pavilion at Shelby Forest at exactly 9:00 a.m. Attendance is mandatory.

Tee Times: Tee off at the park will be at exactly 10:00 a.m. Tee off at Bid Hill will be exactly 15 minutes after that to give that group time to get there.

Tee off Sunday will be exactly 9:00 a.m. for all courses. There will be no player’s meeting on Sunday. We will be playing the two 18 hole course at the Forest and the 18 hole course at Bud Hill. No baskets will be moved between rounds. This tournament is not PDGA sanctioned but all PDGA rules will apply. Out of bounds will be covered at the player’s meeting.

i) 1st – Forest East
ii) 2nd – Forest West
iii) Sunday – Bud Hill

b) Women Amateur and Men Amateur Masters
i) 1st – Forest West
ii) 2nd – Bud Hill
iii) Sunday – Forest East

c) Men Amateur and Junior Amateur
i) 1st – Bud Hill
ii) 2nd – Forest East
iii) Sunday – Forest West

d) Final Nine
i) Sunday at Shelby Forest
ii) Top 50% of all divisions except Juniors
iii) Score will count for the Tournament order of finish


Alternate Tees will be only at Bud Hill and only for Amateur Women and Junior Amateur. The regular Tee pads will be marked to show that the alternate Tee positions are up ahead. The affected holes will be identified at the Player’s meeting.

Ace Pots: There will be 3 ace pots for each of the 3 groups: one per round and it rolls over. If there are no aces there will be a throw-off at the Group Camp prior to the awards ceremony.

Awards Ceremony: The Awards Ceremony will be held in the Dining Hall at the Piersol Group Camp. Parking is limited. Carpooling from the course parking lot is strongly encouraged. Plaques will be awarded 3 deep in each division.
