Tournament Director: Will Timmons (skysouthwest [at] cox.net) (225) 975-1533 Date(s): 12/01/2007 - 12/02/2007
Location: Highland Road / Greenwood / Scottlandville Park - Baton Rouge, LA
Shirts are ordered, and there are enough for the first 60 that are registered. I am trying to get mini's made as well, but have never heard back from Charlie at Little Flyers, I'll call again Monday. If so I'll have enough for the first 100.
I haven't really thought about getting a "host hotel". There are many around the area that are inexpensive, and usually one can get a better price on line than you can getting a tournament rate (and tournament rates run out 2 weeks before an event, and ...)
With much added money - and not going overboard with discs / baskets / etc. - the entry fees have been held low for the players wallet this close to Christmas.
Open / Masters / G-Mast - $54
Pro Women / Pro Mast Women / Sr G-Mast - $49
Advanced Men / Advanced Masters - $39
Intermediate Men / Intermediate Women - $29
Novice / Junior - $20
All entry fees include $2 SN Fee and $2 BREC Fee - hence the odd endings.
Plaques will be done with "Champion" and "Runner-Up" instead of 1st-3rd.
We will be doing the raffle for the finals - the Zinger is in charge of setting up the "safari holes" for the 6 holes of skins that will be for the top 4 Open Pro Scores and the lucky winners of the raffle to be their teammates! All the money raised goes into the skins - so there is no maximum - but a minimum of $30 / hole. (will be more I'm sure!)
There will also be a putting competition, and if anyone wants to set it up and run it - a driving competition. We'll be having the players party at Greenwood after the 2nd round Saturday - so that is where the putting will be, and poker, and food, and fun, and maybe glo mini golf in the inside 7? All sorts of stuff that can be done - just hope the weather is going to be better than last year!
We will play Greenwood on Saturday 2 rounds of 18 - and one round of 24 at Highland on Sunday - then the finals. The Open Pros, Masters, Grand Masters, and Advanced will play the Yellow Tees the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
More to come.
Must thank - M&M Interiors / M&M Automotive for being the title sponsor - $425!
Josh Long - $200 / Get Unwired Inc. Robert Raach - $100 / Don Perkins - $50 / Steve Folmar - $50 / Chad Rousse - $50 / Chris LaSonde - $50 / and others have pledged to sponsor - Psycho-Fish / Jose O / Stephen H / Dex B / Kelly's Sign Shop and even other too!!!
That is $925 of just that known to be comming in! Bring it on - only 60 shirts!
